We recommend that you get feedback on your songs before you spend money on making demo and master recordings of them! We specialize in giving detailed constructive feedback that will help you to rewrite your songs into stronger and clearer statements of your song ideas.
If your song is so strong that we cannot recommend any rewrites, we will help you to cast the songs, advise you on how to contact the artists you want to pitch your songs to and, when appropriate, refer you to specific contacts in the music business.
We'll also answer any questions you may have about songwriting and the music business. We'll help you with information on collaboration, demo recording, song presentations and pitches, business and legal aspects of copyright, resources for songwriters; anything and everything to do with songwriting.

To use this service via snail mail with payment by check, print out this page and use the form below as a check list:
_____ Send your song/s on a cassette or CD.
Lyricists who have lyrics only, skip to the next step.
_____ Include a lyric sheet.
_____ Write down your questions and send them with the tape. (Optional, but it is a good idea to have your own notes about what you want to ask to refer to while we're talking on the phone.)
_____ Include a self addressed, stamped envelope if you want your tape returned.
_____ Send the package to us at the address below.
_____ We'll call or e-mail you as soon as we receive your package to make an appointment for the consultation.

_____ Call us at the appointed time. We will have listened to your songs and will spend the remaining time left in the hour, or whatever time you have paid for, on the phone discussing your songs and questions. We can give you feedback on a maximum of five songs in an hour of consulting time, if song feedback is all you require. Listening to five songs takes about half an hour, so expect to spend another half-hour on the phone.
If you have a lot of questions, fewer songs can be done within the time period.
Some writers prefer feedback in writing. Some prefer to do the consultation by phone (or in person if you are in the Nashville area) and tape the conversation to capture the information for later reference. We are happy to respond in whatever way suits you best.
Also: For songwriters who want an intense songwriting growth experience, we offer ongoing individual songwriting instruction. Define your songwriting goals and we will help you to reach them. Subjects covered are directed by the particular songwriter's needs and desires but can encompass the entire process from first creative impulse, to the writing and rewriting process, to demoing and marketing the song. We'll give you writing assignments, coach you through the song pitching process and help you understand the business aspects that arise when there is interest in recording your song. You can receive this service in person or on the phone. Payment must be received before service is rendered.
